Catherine Russell contributes to book and presents paper

Professor Catherine Russell contributed to a new book called Beyond Text: Critical Practices and Sensory Anthropology. The collection came out of a 2007 conference hosted by University of Manchester. It includes articles by many of the leading thinkers and practitioners in Visual Anthropology. Learn more at the University of Manchester Press  

She also presented a paper, “Barbara Stanwyck as the Bad Mother,” at the Women, Film Culture, and Globalization Conference at Concordia University, Montreal, September 2-4 2016.

She was the keynote speaker at a symposium called “Structural Documentary,” Documentary Theory-Practice Symposium Temple University, Philadelphia, October 14, 2016.
