Desirée De Jesus awarded Concordia's Public Scholar Prize

Film and Moving Image Studies doctoral student, Desirée de Jesus, has been awarded the title of Public Scholar in the inaugural competition of Concordia's new Public Scholars Program. The award is valued at $10,000. The tenure of her award goes from May 2017 to April 2018.
 
Desirée is one 10 finalists throughout the university to receive the prize and the only Public Scholar from the Faculty Fine Arts.
 
Public Scholars will build professional networks and create employment opportunities for themselves and other PhD candidates. Scholars will receive a $10,000 award and become the face of graduate education at Concordia University. The program is partnered with The Montreal Gazette.
