Creative Arts Therapies part-time professor Joanabbey Sack received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dance Movement Therapy Association in Canada (DMTAC) at the American Dance Therapy Association 57^th Conference held in Montreal..

Joanabbey is a true pioneer of Dance Movement Therapy in Canada for the last 35 years, supervising several future dance movement therapists. She has been offering Dance Movement Therapy to participants with disabilities at the Center for the Arts in Human Development,  and supervising Creative Arts Therapies students for several years. She has taught and continues to teach CATS 609 – Introduction to Dance Movement Therapy to Concordia graduate students for over 20 years.
