Hosted by the Concordia Arts in Health Centre, C-Change is an interdisciplinary conference on systemic, creative, and collaborative climate action.
Mainstream climate action remains dominated by siloed approaches and paradigms that limit impact. While important work is happening, the climate crisis is a systemic problem that urgently requires more interdisciplinary solutions and stronger connections between efforts. We need spaces to imagine together and develop meaningful actions within the skills and resources we have available.
In this spirit, we ask:
• What existing visions and actions are already guiding us toward sustainable living and collective well-being?
• How might systems thinking, creative approaches, and community-driven initiatives intersect to spark new and sustainable forms of climate action?
The C-Change conference aims to explore these questions through three themes:
• Creative collaborations: Cross-sector partnerships and community initiatives that are efforts towards more sustainable ways of living and being.
• Creative adaptation and well-being: Approaches and initiatives to promote health (including mental health), well-being, and resilience in the context of climate crisis, including ways to promote sustainable action and activism.
• Systems change: Systemic thinking, visualizing, and conceptualizing shifts that can help us more effectively, creatively, and collectively move towards more sustainable futures.
The conference’s aim is to create connections that will help us learn from each other’s successes, and to challenge ourselves to think, act, and connect differently. We will innovate together across our different understandings, knowledges, values, and approaches while we each develop actions to commit to. We hope you can help us contribute to a sea-change—a transformative shift—in how we think about and work together towards sustainable living and mutual thriving.

Locations: Zoom, Merrymac Fam in East Lancaster, ON; Concordia's 4th Space in downtown Montreal: Concordia's Jesuit Hall at the Loyola Campus in NDG.
