Focal Points showcases the work of the students of the Department of Design and Computation Arts of Concordia University through an innovative and unifying exhibition. Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, students explore the many ways to solve problems, design and imagine our future. Focal Points is the place where design and computational art come together to present an animated, interactive and stimulating exhibition.
All of these projects stand out individually, but together they form a cohesive exhibition that highlights each other’s innovative practices. The dialogue that emerges from the unexpected relationships between the works, as well as the numerous collaborations, are at the heart of the success of the Design program. Transcending disciplines, combining analog and digital, and highlighting what the future holds for us, Focal Points is an exhibition that directs the public’s attention toward the active role that designers and artists play in our daily lives.
