2012 JMSB Toy Drive a Huge Success

The fifth annual JMSB Toy Drive, organized in cooperation with Concordia Human Resources in support of the McGill University Health Centre’s Montreal Children’s Hospital Child Life Department, was a resounding success.
This year’s collection garnered 1,100 toys, 100 more than last year’s total. Organizer, Eva Ferrara, who is the department coordinator for JMSB’s Decision Sciences and MIS said she was thrilled with the level of support, “We are always overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness of the Concordia community.  Thanks to their gifts, we have not only met our goal, we’ve surpassed it.”

Ferrara expressed the gratitude of the organizing committee, which includes Ramona Senecal, also from JMSB, and Jay Mazzamauro of Human Resources, to Danawares Corporation, who sold Concordia toys below cost price, the Mad Science Group Corporation, who donated over 100 toys, and Concordia Distribution Services who delivered the toys to the Montreal Children’s Hospital.

A message from the organizers to the Concordia community

“We would like to take this time to wish you and yours all the best for this Holiday Season, may the magic of this time of year warm your hearts with special moments…peace and love…and may 2013 bring you all good health, happiness and prosperity.”

“Thank you for thinking of the Children!”
