Antoine Audy-Julien, Alexandra Duffy, William Hall and Nancy Peng (Fields Consulting) represented Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business (JMSB) at this year’s International Case Competition @ Maastricht (ICC@M) in the Netherlands.

The competition is very similar to JMSB’s own John Molson Undergraduate Case Competition. The event brings together 64 talented undergraduate students from 16 schools from around the world to compete in a week-long case competition.

The competition consisted of two cases (worth 20% each) that allowed for three hours of preparation each, and a more involved case (worth 60%), for which teams had 24 hours to prepare. Teams were divided into four divisions and competed against every team within their division.

After three rounds of presentations, the finalists were chosen based on the number of points they had accumulated, with the highest-scoring teams in each division presenting another three-hour case. The University of Florida was the winning team in JMSB’s division and went on to the finals.

The final rankings were:

  1. University of Porto
  2. University of Florida
  3. Simon Fraser University
  4. Queen’s School of Business

The John Molson Competition Committee would like to thank coaches Alain Readman Valiquette, Tim Field and Michel Greiche, as well as Mark Haber, head coach and Advisor to the Competition Program, for bringing the team to a level that impressed people from all over the world.

The John Molson Competition Committee thanks exclusive title partner Pfizer Canada for their support of the competition program.
