Mehdi Farashahi named Director, International Business

JMSB Dean Steve Harvey announced that Mehdi Farashahi has been appointed Director, International Business for a term beginning June 1, 2015 and ending May 31, 2018.

Farashahi is an associate professor in the Department of Management and has been teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the fields of strategy and international business at JMSB since 1999. He brings many years of experience in international business to his new role. He is one of the founders and the current chair of the Montreal Local/Global Research Group.

As director, Farashahi will report to the Associate Dean, Academic and Student Affairs, Undergraduate Programs, and will be responsible for all academic and administrative activities related to the International Business Program. He has been filling this position in an interim capacity since 2014 when he replaced Arvind Jain who had served as the director since 2010.

Harvey asks that JMSB faculty and staff join him in wishing Farashahi all the best in his new role.
