Boko Haram attacks two separate locations in Nigeria

On Monday, Boko Haram extremists killed more than 30 people in two villages near Chibok school in Nigeria, where they kidnapped approximately 200 schoolgirls last month. In addition, two car bombs, likely planted by Boko Haram, killed at least 118 people in the city of Jos. Daniel Douek, an instructor in the Department of Political Science, can share his expertise on guerrilla movements and politics in Africa. Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director in the Montreal Institute of Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS), can offer his perspective on human rights in relation to these attacks.
