Romeo Dallaire resigns from Senate

Senator Romeo Dallaire, the retired Canadian lieutenant-general who led the UN mission during the Rwandan genocide, has resigned from the Senate in order to focus on his humanitarian work. Dallaire will remain a distinguished fellow with the Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies (MIGS). Kyle Matthews, senior deputy director of MIGS, can field questions about Dallaire and his work in preventing genocides.
