Prostitution Bill is introduced

On Thursday, June 5, Justice Minister Peter MacKay introduced a new bill that will reform Canada’s prostitution laws. MacKay and his department examined several regulatory models outside of Canada, including the Nordic model. Viviane Namaste, professor in the Simone de Beauvoir Institute, can weigh in on the new bill and what it means for sex workers in Canada.
