Obama rips into climate change deniers

On Saturday, June 14, U.S. President Barack Obama delivered the commencement address at convocation at the University of California,Irvine where he focused on climate change. In the speech, he pointedly acknowledged the dangers of climate change and even more dangerous, those policy makers that deny its existence. Damon Matthews, associate professor in the Department of Geography, Planning and Environment, can discuss his latest research on Global warming’s biggest offenders that found the U.S. is among the largest contributors of carbon emissions and the importance of the president acknowledging climate change.
