Inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women


The recent death of Tina Fontaine, a 15-year-old aboriginal girl whose body was found in the Red River in Winnipeg, has renewed interest in holding a national inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women. Karl Hele, director of the First Peoples Studies program and a member of the Garden River First Nation community of the Anishinaabeg people, can weigh in on the need for the inquiry and why Prime Minister Harper continues to refuse.
