The Montreal Gazette, in both hardcopy and online, featured a story and a video about the renovation of the Grey Nuns building. The article quotes Clarence Epstein, senior director of urban and cultural affairs. CTV News Montreal featured a segment on their 6 p.m. news (segment begins at 17 minutes and 6 seconds) and 11:30 p.m. broadcast (segment begins at 6 minutes and 51 seconds) which features an interview with Concordia President Alan Shepard at 7 minutes and 22 seconds. CTV also posts an article on their website to accompany the video. RCI (English) and RCI (French) also published similar articles.

The Montreal Gazette featured The Grey Nuns building in its photos of the week. Academica Top 10 also mentioned the renovations.

Le Devoir (available by subscription only) published a story on its front page and the article quoted Clarence Epstein, senior director of urban and cultural affairs, and Guylaine Beaudry, university librarian. La Presse featured a video about the renovations of the reading room.

Le Devoir published an opinion piece by Jean-Claude Marsan, professor emeritus at l’Université de Montréal, who holds up the Grey Nuns renovation project as an example of a project that serves not only students but the entire neighborhood as it preserves much-needed green space. Marsan suggests l’Université de Montréal follow Concordia’s example for its former convent buildings as he believes they would be better suited to conservation and renovation than conversion into condominiums. A pull-quote reads “La direction de l’UdeM devrait copier l’approche de l’Université Concordia pour le 1420”.

The Concordian also published a story about the Grey Nuns building.
