Concordia alumni nominated for 2009 Juno Awards

The group Plants and Animals have been nominated for a 2009 Juno Award in two categories: New Group of the Year and Alternative Album of the Year.
The Montreal band is made up of Nicolas Basque (BFA 01), Warren C. Spicer (BFA 02), and Matthew Woodley (BFA 01). Last year the group was shortlisted for the Polaris prize.
All three members are graduates of the Music Department's EA program. Warren Spicer also taught in the department.
