This past summer, news about the latest research from three of our professors generated coverage in media outlets not only across Montreal but across Canada, the United States and around the globe.
Our newsmakers were Simon Bacon from the department of Exercise Science, Onur Bodur from the JMSB’s Marketing Department and James Pfaus from the Psychology Department’s Centre for Studies in Behavioral Neurobiology.
- Bacon worked with the Montreal Heart Institute on research that determined heart patients who were also parents were less likely to exercise.
- Bodur’s research produced valuable information about the relationship between individuals and the avatars they create in the digital world.
- Pfaus produced a review of research on the effects of drugs and alcohol on sexual performance.
Researchers are encouraged to keep our Media Relations team posted about their latest projects so we can continue to generate stories about Concordia that will make the news around the world.
