Volunteer fair a smash
Concordia’s Centre Counselling and Development held its annual Volunteer and Leadership Fair on October 7 and it was a smashing success.
Approximately 40 community organizations took part, over 700 people visited and feedback from volunteer organizations was positive. “We were especially proud to hear comments on the number and quality of Concordia students who showed interest in volunteering,” says Marlene Gross, Manager, Services for New Students and Student Success Program, from the Centre Counselling and Development.
“We hope that the wonderful spirit of volunteerism will continue throughout the month of October, which is Volunteer Awareness month at Concordia, and well beyond – showing we are a community that really cares,” adds Gross.
