Judith Woodsworth named to business board

Concordia President and Vice-Chancellor Judith Woodsworth was named to the Board of Directors of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal at its annual general meeting on November 2.

Dr. Woodsworth is one of two university leaders named to the Board who are not from the private sector.
 
Dr. Woodsworth is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada, and of Montréal International. She is also Vice-President of the Executive Committee of the Conference of Rectors and Principals of Quebec Universities.

She has served the wider community in many different roles in social, cultural and business organizations. Currently, she is a member of the Greater Montreal Centraide Campaign Cabinet and a member of the International Women’s Forum. She was recently recognized as one of Canada’s “Top 100 Most Powerful Women” by the Women’s Executive Network.
 
The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal has directed the city’s economic, social and cultural growth since it was established nearly two centuries ago.

The Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal serves as a catalyst to drive the economy. The group acts as the voice of the business community and it represents the people of Greater Montreal for all aspects of economic growth and prosperity.
