The Canada Summer Jobs program will contribute one half of the minimum wage (or $4.75/hour) for jobs that meet their criteria.

Concordia’s Career and Placement Services (CAPS) is coordinating the project on campus and encouraging faculty and staff to submit proposals.

Eligible employment opportunities may be created by a faculty or staff member and must relate to a student’s field of study.

Offered through Service Canada, the Canada Summer Jobs initiative aims to provide work experience for students and to support organizations that provide important community services. CAPS’ role is to facilitate the application, hiring, and refund process. They also assist by posting job opportunities on the CAPS website and by screening resumés. CAPS has run the program at Concordia for over 10 years.

A simplified two-page application form will be sent to staff and faculty who applied for positions through the program last year. First time potential employers should pick up an application form in person:

Sir George Williams Campus

  • CAPS, 2070 Mackay St., Room EN-109

Loyola Campus

  • Administration Building, 7141 Sherbrooke St. W., Room AD-103

Applications must be delivered by hand or by internal mail to Francine Salinitri by February 21 at:

  • CAPS, 2070 Mackay St., Room EN-109
  • Internal mail: S-EN 109
