Five medals are offered: the Provost’s Medal for Outstanding Achievement recognizes academic and extra-curricular achievement; the Concordia Medal recognizes leadership; the Stanley G. French Medal recognizes outstanding contributions to student life; and both the Malone Medal and the O’Brien Medal recognize a student whose efforts and dedication best exemplify the values of the university. Students from the graduating class of either fall 2010 or winter 2011 are eligible for nomination.

In addition, the First Graduating Class Award (in honour of the first class to graduate from Sir George Williams University) is presented to a person or group who has made the most innovative contribution, either academic or extracurricular, to university life. It is open to all members of the Concordia community.
