Concordia wins medals at francophone communications competition

Seven of 32 team members bring home hardware from annual francophone academic contest.

Concordia’s delegation brought home three medals from the Jeux Franco-Canadiens de la communication Infopresse, this year held March 2 to 6 at the University of Sherbrooke.

The annual the French-language competition brings together communication and journalism students from nine Eastern-Canadian universities to test their media skills such as interviewing, radio and television reporting, public relations strategic thinking, publicity and media planning. 

The team of Samuel Brisson, Ryan George, and Sabrina Allard won the gold medal for video production; Gabrielle Lefort won a silver medal for journalistic writing; and the team of Charles D'Amboise, Andrea Hooker and Stefanie Viens won the bronze medal in the advertising category.
