Beloved professor Gary Boyd dies suddenly
The professor was loved and respected by all who knew him says Concordia Department of Education Chair.

Education professor Gary Boyd died suddenly on Sunday, April 3. Over a long, distinguished academic career, he taught at Royal Roads Canadian Military College, Sir George Williams University, and Concordia University.
Department of Education Chair Richard F. Schmid said, ”Dr. Gary Boyd was truly a pillar of the Sir George Williams / Concordia community. He was an intellectual leader, well published, and loved and respected by all who knew him. He dedicated over 40 years of his life to the institution that, by becoming his lifeblood, he gave back to as a donor many, many times over!”
A memorial service was held in Montreal on April 9 for local friends, students and colleagues.
