Concordia researchers will be leading three conferences under the banner of the 24th edition of the Entretiens Jacques Cartier.

From September 29 to October 7, a series of events and presentations will be held in Montreal, Quebec City and Ottawa.

Starting October 1, 2011, Lynn Hughes, of the Faculty of Fine Arts, and sociology professor Bart Simon will lead a two-day conference on computer gaming called Récit(s) et jeux numériques.

On October 3 and 4, Mourad Debbabi, director of the Concordia Institute for Information Systems Engineering, will host a conference on cyber-security.

Finally, engineering professor Brigitte Jaumard will host a session over October 3 and 4 on green technology.

Held every fall, the event brings together researchers and industry leaders preoccupied with contemporary issues under the broad themes of economic, socio-political, scientific and cultural challenges.
