Students enrolled in the Institute for Co-op Education have an exciting opportunity on July 4 to really get their careers off the ground.

That’s when Bombardier will visit Concordia to hold unique job fair where dozens of Co-op students will have the chance to meet a Bombardier recruitment specialist for a short interview.

And if they have the right stuff, they may be offered an internship on the spot. There are more than 70 four-month internships this fall with the global transportation company.

“Imagine walking in with a resumé and potentially walking out with an internship or a solid lead for a job with this world-class company,” says Gerry Hughes, Director of Concordia’s Institute for Co-operative Education. “The name Bombardier is very attractive to students and we’re fortunate to have a mutually beneficial relationship that can provide such amazing opportunities.”

“There really is an opportunity for our students to gain that competitive advantage to be the first to impress Bombardier representatives and show why our thinking is distinct,” says Hughes, who adds that Co-op students should be prepared and bring an up-to-date resumé.

"Bombardier is excited to be working in partnership with local universities to ensure our future talent pool," says Tara Murphy, Manager of the Talent Aquisition team at Bombardier Aerospace.

Based in Montreal, Bombardier is a world leader in the design, manufacture and support of innovative aviation products for the business, commercial, specialized and amphibious aircraft markets.

Established in 1980, Concordia’s Institute for Co-operative Education gives students the opportunity to gain on-the-job practical experience in private industry, not-for-profit organizations and government agencies.
