MBA program among top 100 in the world
The MBA program offered by Concordia University’s John Molson School of Business moved 16 spots upwards — placing 80th in the world and third in Canada — according to the 2011 “Which MBA?” survey from The Economist.
The ranking evaluates full-time MBA programs around the world to assess what students find vital: career opportunities, personal development, educational experience, earning and networking potential.
"I am thrilled to see the many great things happening in our school are recognized by such a prestigious ranking," says Alan Hochstein, interim dean of the John Molson School of Business (JMSB).
"The MBA program offered by the JMSB is constantly innovating to ensure our alumni are successful and responsible business leaders,” Hochstein continues. “Our school’s success is achieved through the commitment of our alumni, students, faculty and staff, as well as remarkable support from Canada’s business community."
The flexible MBA program offered by the JMSB, which is centred on student needs, is taught in a diverse and multicultural environment. It addresses the global economy’s most relevant issues, focuses on interdisciplinary general management, and prepares students for managerial success in complex and competitive business environments of the future.
The top spot in The Economist’s “Which MBA?” survey was earned by the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire. Across Canada, York University’s Schulich School of Business placed ninth, McGill University’s Desautels Faculty of Management was 64th, the University of Calgary's Haskayne School of Business was 81st and the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business was 82nd. Rounding out the top 100 was HEC Montréal in 96th place.
