More than 50 crafters and artisans will sell their wares on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5 in the Loyola Chapel. The two-day fair offers arts and crafts for sale (very suitable for gift giving), a “pre-loved clothing” swap called the Really Really Free Market, musical interludes and free workshops.

About half of the artisans are Concordia faculty, staff, students or alumni.

A few non-profit organizations are selling crafts from around the world, including Gambia and Uganda. The Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program (CVAP) is also hosting a table as a liaison with the people of northern Uganda.

Many of the artists are also selling art made out of recycled materials, or organic and natural bath and beauty products.

The Really Really Free Market “pre-loved clothing” swap invites contributions leading up to the fair. The idea is that unused clothing can find a new owner who will love the garment anew. Donations are accepted at the Loyola Chapel in the designated areas.

A number of free workshops are offered on topics such as building recycled rhythm instruments, sewing and design, and even crystal readings.

Musicians are scheduled to perform at noon and at 4 p.m. on Friday.

Drop by and see what it’s all about.

When: Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Where: Loyola Chapel (Room FC-110), Loyola Campus (7141 Sherbrooke St. W.)
