Concordia’s reputation for academic excellence and creativity continues to grow. This is evident in the headlines our researchers and experts are making across Canada and around the world for their contributions to the advancement of knowledge and the betterment of society.

In a new publication, Beyond the Headlines, Concordia presents conversations with six Concordians who are not only making headlines, but are influencing the way we think. We have teamed them up with a thought-leader to discuss a common topic, creating conversations intended to generate broader discussion and reflection.

This week, we feature Concordia history professor Frank Chalk, one of the world’s most foremost experts on genocide and director of the Concordia-based Montreal Institute for Genocide and Human Rights Studies, in conversation with Major Christopher Young. Their conversation, The Will to Intervene, examines how we can prevent genocide and other mass atrocities.
