While renovations on the Guy-Metro Building continue, some of the occupants in the GM building can look forward to moving back into their offices in early April. Office coordinators can be contacted for moving details pertaining to individual floors.

The new glass exterior has been installed on all levels except on the 11th floor. This will improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs by 35 per cent, due to better insulation and the addition of double-paned windows filled with argon gas.

Interior renovation continues so there will be ongoing delivery of construction materials to the building. Deliveries are made outside office hours to minimize disruption to the workday. A key improvement will be the installation of new elevator cabins in April. One cabin will be renovated at a time, in order to leave as many as possible in service for building occupants.

While some elements of the new facade were waiting to be inspected and approved, interior renovations proceeded in the meantime. Now the gypsum walls can be put up and interior work will be completed before moving occupants back in. For questions, contact the Service Centre at 514-848-2424, ext. 2400.
