This is a reminder that Concordia has been working with departments and faculty members to arrive at appropriate accommodation, within the framework of existing academic policies and regulations, for courses disrupted by student protests.

The university is aware that a minority of undergraduate program classes was affected by significant or persistent disruptions. Few disruptions were reported at the graduate level, and these were limited to a small number of programs.

Students are reminded that:

  • May 15 is the deadline for undergraduate students to apply for an Incomplete (INC) notation; however, the individual instructor must agree to allow the undergraduate student to submit the required work after the published deadline. Read more.
  • There are established procedures for students who wish to apply after the deadline to formally discontinue and withdraw from a course or courses (DISC), without academic penalty. Read more

Undergraduate and graduate students whose coursework has been disrupted are encouraged to speak with their instructors to explore potential accommodations that are consistent with university policies and regulations.

The university continues to encourage faculty members to discuss issues with their department chair or dean’s office. When necessary, they will involve the Office of the Provost.

Students are encouraged to consult the series of frequently asked questions and other information on concordia.ca/info/. Students whose questions are not addressed, should contact their individual instructors.
