Stephanie Sarik appointed interim registrar
Associate Vice-President, Enrolment and Student Services, Brad Tucker is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephanie Sarik to the position of interim registrar. She assumed the role on November 12, 2012.
Sarik joined Concordia University in November 2011 as director, Financial Aid and Awards, where she developed and expanded financial aid and awards services and outreach activities to students. As interim registrar, she will continue to oversee this area.
“On behalf of the university, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Terry Too, who has served the university as interim registrar since December 2011. His leadership and guidance of the registrar’s office through this period of transition has been invaluable,” says Tucker. Too will continue in his current role as project director for the Student Information System, overseeing this important, mission-critical system.
A native Montrealer, Sarik has more than 10 years of progressive leadership experience in strategic planning, database management and systems implementation as well as financial management and budget planning expertise. She brings to the role a wealth of experience working with senior administrators in both the university and private sectors. Prior to beginning her current mandate at Concordia, Sarik was the director of finance and administration in the Vice-Principal Research and International Relations Office at McGill University. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia.
“I am pleased that Stephanie has agreed to take on this important challenge,” says Tucker. “Her broad experience in data management, planning, and her strong focus on excellence in service delivery, together with her background in university administration, bode well for Concordia’s efforts to provide an outstanding student experience to all who study here.”
