It was a very brief interview. When Concordia NOW called Estelle Bouthillier about receiving the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal, she didn't have much time to talk because she was receiving multiple calls from media outlets around the world, including France and Switzerland.

Why? The Duchess of Cambridge had announced that's she's pregnant.

The connection is that Bouthillier, who works in the President's Office as an information and documentation analyst, is an expert on Britain’s Royal Family. She has been giving commentary about the British monarchy in mainstream media for many years.

She was one of 24 medal recipients who were presented with the awards on December 1, by Rosane Doré Lefebvre, MP for the riding of Alfred-Pellan. Bouthillier was nominated by her previous boss, former Concordia president Frederick Lowy.

“I am thrilled to have received the Diamond Jubilee Medal,” Bouthillier said quickly before turning her attention to yet another interview about the Duchess’ pregnancy.
