William Buxton, professor in and director of the PhD program in the Department of Communication Studies, is pleased to announce the publication of Tracing Innis and McLuhan, a special issue of The Canadian Journal of Communication, (Vol. 37, no. 4, 2012).

In it are five revised versions of Innis/McLuhan articles that were presented at the conference "Innis, McLuhan, and the Media: Path to Enlightenment or Dead End," which celebrated 25 years of the Joint Doctoral Program in Communication held in April 2012 at the Societé des arts technologiques.

The Joint PhD program combines the talents of professors, students and staff from three institutions: Concordia University, the University of Montreal, and the Université du Québec à Montréal.

Alexandre Bilodeau, a finance student in the John Molson School of Business and an Olympic gold medalist, won the silver medal in the men’s freestyle World Cup dual moguls on Saturday in Kreischberg, Austria.
