Records of Employment no longer mailed out

Service Canada no longer requires paper copies
March 27, 2013
|

In an effort to support a paperless environment, paper copies of Records of Employment (ROEs, used for Employment Insurance (EI) applications) will no longer be mailed to employees when they have an interruption of earnings.

Since Concordia files its ROEs electronically, Service Canada does not require the mailing of paper copies to individuals, nor for individuals to send a copy to Service Canada. When an application for EI is made, Service Canada uses the electronic ROE sent by Concordia to process the claim.

Applications for EI must be made immediately once the employee has stopped working.
