Concordia president to host two informal events
With the start of the new academic year, Concordia President Alan Shepard is once again looking forward to meeting students, faculty and staff at two upcoming events.
“As we welcome some 8,000 new students to Concordia, I am excited about the months ahead,” says Shepard, who is hosting a barbecue on September 12 and a breakfast on September 16. “These events are part of my ongoing efforts to meet with as many members of our community as possible.”
WHAT: Barbecue
WHEN: Thursday, September 12, from noon to 2 p.m.
WHERE: The Grove – the green space between the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex (SP Building) and the Communication Studies and Journalism Building (CJ Building) on the Loyola Campus
In case of rain, the event will be relocated indoors in the Upper Atrium of the Richard J. Renaud Science Complex.
CORRECTION: The location of the barbecue was originally described as the Quad. It is, in fact, the Grove.
WHAT: Breakfast (coffee, tea, muffins and fruit will be served)
WHEN: Monday, September 16, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
WHERE: Abe and Harriet Gold Atrium in the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV Building), Sir George Williams Campus
