Are you a grad or an undergrad who didn’t make it to orientation? Here are the essentials.

For undergraduate students

Discover Concordia events were held from August 27 to 29 on both campuses. Attendance was divided into faculty groups.

Key moments included:

  • Words of welcome and advice from Concordia’s president and deputy provost
  • A call-to-engagement from the president of the Concordia Student Union
  • Information about the support available from Student and Enrolment Services
  • Reasons why every student should visit the Ombuds Office
  • Rules and regulations, care of the Office of Rights and Responsibilities

Words of caution and a helping hand were the key take-away from the Student Success Centre presentation: Concordia offers a whole range of resources to help you stay on top.

The Centre’s student mentors staged a humorous skit to demonstrate where first years can go wrong — and how they can stay on track.

From coping with the workload and managing stress to navigating the range of university resources, the mentors know the ins and outs of university life. After all, they’re students themselves! Here’s how to meet a mentor.

For graduate students

An orientation session for graduate students was held on September 4 at the D.B. Clarke Theatre in the Henry F. Hall Building. It offered essential information and a networking opportunity for Concordia’s graduate community.
