Concordia’s Engineering Week is always a hot ticket. This year, it all happened from Monday, February 24 to Saturday, March 1 on the Sir George Williams Campus.
One of the week’s most anticipated events is the 30th anniversary edition of the Troitsky Bridge Building Competition. On February 28, student teams from across North America converged on Concordia, where they will used wood, popsicle sticks and other sundries to build bridges capable of withstanding many pounds of force — applied, of course, by the legendary Crusher, a hydraulic press that tests the sheer strength of the structures.
