Work safety is everyone’s business. According to Environmental Health and Safety policy VPSS-40, all faculty, staff, students, and even visitors and contractors are expected to take every reasonable step to protect the health and safety of themselves, their colleagues and other members of the university community.

To that end, Concordia’s Environmental Health and Safety Office invites you to a university-wide safety exhibition.

When: Wednesday, November 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Atrium of the Engineering, Computer Science and Visual Arts Integrated Complex (EV Building, 1515 Ste-Catherine St. W.), Sir George Williams Campus

Twelve companies will have kiosks in the atrium of the EV Building to showcase the latest safety equipment on the market:

  • Fisher Scientific, the main sponsor of the event
  • 3M
  • Accuform Signs
  • DuPont
  • Honeywell
  • Justrite Manufacturing
  • Medicom
  • MSA Safety
  • SpilKleen
  • Superior Gloves
  • VF Imagewear

Representatives from these companies and from Concordia will share information on topics such as protective equipment (gloves, suits, lab coats, hats, glasses), spill containment and cleaning, gas monitoring, and many more.
