Do you know someone who works tirelessly to improve sustainability at the university? Someone who devotes his or her existence to promoting local food or social justice?

Why not nominate him or her as a Sustainability Champion?

Each year, the Concordia Sustainability Hub Workgroup honours Concordia community members for their diverse sustainable contributions towards the social, ecological and economic well-being of the university. Examples of such efforts range from enterprising employees who reduce office waste, to faculty members engaged in community development projects, to students or groups rallying to promote sustainability initiatives on campus.

To make a nomination, send a paragraph describing the nominee’s activities to sustainabilitychampions@concordia.ca by Thursday, February 5.

Winners will be celebrated at the fifth annual Sustainability Champions Gala on March 12. This event is a chance for Concordia to demonstrate its collective gratitude to ambassadors of change, encourage dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders, and to raise the overall profile of sustainability on campus.
