Student Information System to shut down November 13 to 15 for upgrades

Many online functions will still be available during downtime

Concordia’s Student Information System (SIS) will be temporarily shut down starting at 5 p.m. Friday, November 13, so administrators can apply a series of upgrades.

The Birks Student Service Centre will cease cashier functions at 4 p.m., but will not close for the day until its regular time of 5 p.m.

The undergraduate and graduate applications for future students will also be unavailable from 4 p.m. before the full system shutdown begins at 5 p.m.

The SIS is anticipated to be back online by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 16.

During downtime, many online functions will still be available, such as email, general features in the MyConcordia portal and Concordia.ca. Campus Solutions, including My Faculty Centre and the My Student Centre portal will not be accessible, nor will any process that draws information from the SIS.

Visit the IT Services page to view the current status of various services.

Upgrade to enable new features in 2016

Upgrades are released by Oracle on a quarterly basis and respond to issues and new feature requests brought to their attention by the Higher Education User Group, of which Concordia is a member.

This upgrade should be transparent to the user, as it is meant to enhance system stability and enable implementation of new features upcoming in 2016, such as the mobile app for Campus Solutions.

If you experience technical difficulties after system re-launch on Monday, November 16, please email help@concordia.ca.
