Sometimes you can see a person’s passion in their eyes. It’s what drives them.

If you know someone dedicated to sustainability or safety on campus, nominate them now for an award by February 15, 2016.

They will be recognized at the Sustainability and Safety Champions Awards Gala on March 17, 2016.

The nomination for the Safety Champions Award could be for someone’s regular reminders to not block the fire exit, or another person’s determination to avoid chemical spills in a lab. Maybe she or he encourages you to update your safety knowledge with more training.

Remember that sustainability is not limited to recycling and composting. Champions spearhead social change projects and work to reimagine everything we do at the university to create a better world.

Can’t think of a program off the top of your head? Check out the wealth of projects and initiatives on the Sustainability Hub for inspiration.
