Now is your chance to participate in university governance. The Electoral College is seeking staff candidates to join the President Evaluation Committee. This is your opportunity to add your name to the candidate list.

About the committee

Concordia’s president Alan Shepard’s first term ends on July 31, 2017 and he has confirmed that he will be seeking a second term.

At Concordia, when a president seeks renewal of his or her term, Concordia’s Board of Governors establishes the President Evaluation Committee. The committee conducts a review and makes a recommendation as to whether the President’s performance warrants a second term.

There are 12 people on the committee. They are external members of the Board of Governors, faculty, staff and students. This is a call for nominations of staff members to join the committee.

Eligibility and procedure

To be considered by the Electoral College to serve on the committee, candidates must submit:

  • The nomination form
  • A pen sketch form that includes information about why they are interested in serving on the President Evaluation Committee

The nomination form must be:

  • Signed by the candidate
  • Signed by the nominator
  • Endorsed by five additional administrative and support staff members

The candidates, nominators and all endorsers must be:

  • Members of the administrative and support staff
  • Permanent employees
  • Full- or part-time employees

Submit nominations and pen sketch forms to the attention of Carolina Willsher by email at carolina.willsher@concordia.ca, by internal mail to S-FB-1130 or by fax to 514-848-2424, ext. 2844, no later than Monday, February 15, 2016

What’s next
