Updated February 15 at 4:53 p.m.
Classes previously cancelled due to water damage in the SP Building on the Loyola Campus will be held on Tuesday, February 16 but in a different location.
On February 16, all classes in SP-S110 have been moved to the basement of St. Ignatius of Loyola Parish (SI-H01), 4455 West Broadway St. Teaching labs will be open in their assigned locations in the SP Building.
On Wednesday, February 17, classes scheduled in SP-S110 will resume in that auditorium.
Water damage occurred on February 15 as a result of extreme cold temperatures that led to the freezing of the sprinkler system pipes. As part of the clean-up, the university has made it a priority to clean-up classrooms and labs to minimize the disruption to students and faculty members. Spaces will be safe and functional, however some repairs will still be required.
Faculty and graduate student offices on the third floor of the SP Building are accessible only for the removal of belongings in collaboration with the Security Department. Faculty and graduate students should contact their supervisor with any questions.

This water leak was a result of extreme cold temperatures that led to the freezing of the sprinkler system pipes. Concordia is now in the process of cleaning up these rooms, which is expected to take at least two days. The university will be assessing the situation on an ongoing basis.
