Reading week: what’s open, what’s closed

The Birks Student Service Centre is closed February 26

No classes or other instructional activities will occur at Concordia during reading week, which takes place Monday, February 22 to Friday, February 26.

The Birks Student Service Centre will be open Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Birks will be closed on Friday, February 26.

The Welcome Centre is open February 26

The Welcome Centre will remain open on Friday, February 26. Recruiters will be running an application clinic, which kicked off Wednesday, February 17, and will also be available to respond to visitors’ questions.

Concordia President’s Holiday: February 26

The university is observing a holiday schedule on Friday, February 26, which is Concordia President’s Holiday.

Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate Concordia-issued identification will have access to offices, studios and laboratories; undergraduate students needing access will require a letter from their respective departments.

Libraries

• Both the R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier libraries will be open with regular services throughout the week, except on February 26, when they will only be open for study.

• Campus Corner: Open Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25, 8 a.m.
  to 5 p.m.
• Print Store: Open Monday, February 22 to Wednesday, February 24, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday, February 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Bookstore: Open Monday, February 22 to Tuesday, February 23, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Art Supply Store: Open Monday, February 22 to Wednesday, February 24, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday, February 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Health Services

• Sir George Williams Campus: Open Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Loyola Campus: Open Monday, February 22 to Wednesday, February 24, 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4:30 p.m.

Food and Beverage Services

The Grey Nuns Dining Hall and The Buzz Dining Hall will remain open for their regular business hours.

In the LB Café, Tim Horton’s will be open Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to  4 p.m. and closed on Friday and  weekends. Bento Sushi will be open Monday to Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Friday and weekends.

In the SP Café, Tim Hortons will be open from Monday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on Friday and weekends. The Market will be open Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and closed on Friday and weekends.

All other Food Service locations will be closed during Reading Week.

Parking

• Parking in the J.W. McConnell Building will be open; however, no attendant will be on site (intercom service only).
• Loyola parking will be closed on Friday, February 26 only.

Shuttle bus

• The shuttle bus is on a reduced schedule from Monday, February 22 to Thursday, February 25. There will be no shuttle service on Friday, February 26.

Tunnel access

• Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will be closed from 11 p.m. on Thursday, February 25 until 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 27.
