Concordia offers condolences in the wake of recent world tragedies
Updated March 29, 2016
Recent world events in Belgium, Turkey, Iraq, Pakistan, Ivory Coast and Syria, resulting in loss of life and injury, have shocked and saddened us.
The Concordia community offers its deepest condolences to the families and friends of those affected by this needless violence. Our thoughts are with our students and graduates from these countries, as well as our students currently studying abroad.
The university has reached out to students identified from the affected areas, noting that support is available through Counselling and Psychological Services and Chaplaincy Services, as well as a grieving group. International students are also invited to visit Concordia’s International Students Office to discuss any concerns.
Faculty and staff members seeking support can reach out to the Employee Assistance Program.
