Holiday schedule: December 24 to January 8

This year, Concordia is observing a holiday schedule from Saturday, December 24, 2016 to Sunday, January 8, 2017. The university will reopen on Monday, January 9.

No classes or other instructional activities will occur, though certain exceptions may apply, such as executive MBA and privatized courses.

Staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate Concordia-issued identification will be able to access offices, studios and laboratories. Undergraduate students require a letter from their respective departments to do so.

Security desks remain open 24/7 for the duration of the holidays except for the Samuel Bronfman Building (SB) which remain open between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Shuttle bus service

Shuttle buses will not run from December 23 at 11 p.m. to January 9 at 6 a.m.. Full shuttle details are available here. The regular schedule resumes January 10.

Libraries

Both libraries are open 24 hours a day until 5 p.m. on December 22. The Grey Nuns reading and study rooms are closed from December 22 to January 8, inclusive. The R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier service hours vary as follows:

• December 22 to December 23: open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• December 24 to December 26: closed
• December 27 to December 29: open from 12 to 6 p.m.
• December 30 to January 2: closed
• January 3 to January 5: open from 12 to 6 p.m.
• January 6 to January 8: closed

Campus Retail Stores

• Concordia Stores are closed from December 24 to January 8. Online services are available throughout; check out the holiday shipping schedule for more information.  
• All retail stores will be closed from December 26 onwards; they reopen January 9.

Food services

All food service operations will be closed between December 23 and reopen January 9. Grey Nuns and Buzz dining halls will reopen on January 4.

Parking

• Parking in the LB Building is closed from December 24 at 12 a.m. and will reopen January 9 at 6 a.m.
• Loyola parking remains open to the public with regular operating hours.
• The FB Building indoor parking is closed on December 25 only.

Tunnel access

Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus are closed from 11 p.m. on December 23 until 6 a.m. on January 9.

Daycare

• Centre de la Petite Enfance Concordia (Sir George Williams Campus) will be open on December 28 and 29 and will return to regular operating hours on January 4.
• Les P’tits Profs (Loyola Campus) is closed from December 26 to January 2. 

Workout facilities

Le Gym (Sir George Williams Campus) is closed from December 20 to January 8. The regular schedule resumes on January 9.

Ed Meagher Arena

• Closed from December 23 to 27 and on January 1.
• Watch the Theresa Humes women’s hockey tournament from December 29 to 31.
• The arena reopens January 2 at 7:30 a.m.

Stinger Dome

• Closed from December 20 to January 1.
• Regular schedule resumes January 2 at 6 p.m.

Gymnasium (Loyola Campus)

• Closed from December 22 to January 2.
• January 3 to January 6, possible daytime basketball team practice from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. 
• The regular schedule resumes January 7.
