From Indigenous directions to enhancing student advising: Concordia’s first moves for 2017-18
Want to know more about Concordia’s Indigenous Directions Leadership Group? Curious about the Webster Library’s new Technology Sandbox, or what’s being done to enhance student advising services?
Keen to share your ideas on a university strategy for social innovation? Or, if you’re a researcher, are you interested in discussing possible new research clusters within a health institute setting?
These initiatives are part of the nine first moves identified for the 2017-18 academic year in Concordia’s Strategic Directions Game Plan.
If they interest you, then plan to attend one or all of the following upcoming events in April and May. The goal behind them is to provide faculty, staff and students with a progress update, and in some cases, obtain feedback.

Initiatives and pilot projects in student advising
What concrete steps can the university take to enhance student advising at Concordia? What role can technology play?
In the coming weeks, Lisa Ostiguy, deputy provost, will meet with advisors to plot out advising projects and initiatives for the 2017-18 academic year. Students will be invited to give their input in April via pop-up advising booths around campus.
