Concordia’s president: ‘You’ve been a vital part of this year’s successes’
Watching more than 3,000 students cross the stage at convocation last week was a great way to cap another banner year at Concordia.
For the second year in a row, Concordia was named one of Montreal’s top employers.
Once again, we placed among the top North American schools in the Times Higher Education (THE) Young University Rankings. And last week, we advanced 30 spots over last year in the 2018 QS World University Rankings.
These rankings reflect sustained improvements on many fronts — research grant funding, citations, and international outlook among them.
These well-earned accolades keep us top-of-mind at an important international moment. Our applications and admissions have never been higher.
It’s also been a productive year of thinking and planning. Our strategic directions initiatives continue apace, with many more on the way.
You’ve been a vital part of this past year’s successes. Thank you for all that you contribute to make Concordia a great university.
Have a wonderful summer!
Alan Shepard
