Quebec’s Fête nationale and Canada Day: what’s open at Concordia
Find out which campus services will be available over the two long weekends

No classes or other instructional activities will occur the days after la Fête nationale du Québec and Canada Day — Monday, June 25 and Monday, July 2 respectively.
Only staff, faculty and graduate students with appropriate Concordia-issued identification will have access to offices, studios and laboratories. Undergraduate students needing access will require a letter from their respective departments.
The following services will be closed on June 25
- Concordia Stores (Art Supply Store, Loyola Bookstore, Book Stop, Book Stop Boutique and Print Store)
- Campus Wellness & Support Services on the Sir George Williams and Loyola campuses
- Health Services
- Access Centre for Students with Disabilities
- Counselling & Psychological Services
- Birks Student Service Centre
- Welcome Centre
Athletic facilities
- The PERFORM Centre’s Athletic Therapy Clinic will be closed on Sunday, June 24 and Monday, June 25. PERFORM will remain available for researchers and their teams.
- Le Gym (Sir George Williams campus) will be closed on Sunday, June 24 and Monday, June 25.
- The Loyola Gymnasium will remain open between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, June 25.
Libraries
- The R. Howard Webster and Georges P. Vanier Libraries will remain open until 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 for study only, and will be closed on Sunday, June 24. They will reopen at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 25 for study only and will be accessible with appropriate Concordia-issued identification.
- The Grey Nuns Reading Room and Group Study Rooms are closed for the summer.
Food and beverage services
- Food services on both campuses will remain closed on Monday, June 25.
Parking
- Parking in the J.W. McConnell Building (LB), on the Loyola Campus and the Faubourg indoor parking downtown will remain open with regular operating hours on Monday, June 25.
Tunnel access
- Tunnels on the Sir George Williams Campus will be closed from 11 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 until 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 26.
Shuttle Bus
- There will be no shuttle bus service on Monday, June 25. Current shuttle details are available here.
