Calling all faculty: you can conduct your classroom in 4TH SPACE this summer and fall
Do you want to host a hands-on classroom activity? Are you trying to find a way to get your students to step up their presentation skills?
Concordia’s 4TH SPACE may be your answer.
The unique public platform provides an immersive experience that brings knowledge to life. The street-level vitrine is at once a science centre, living lab, theatre, design showroom and exhibition space.
Students can gain exposure to a wider audience by sharing their work with the greater Concordia and Montreal communities. Classes can also make use of a large screen for presentations, as well as host external partners.
Other examples of classroom activities that 4TH SPACE can accommodate include:
- Workshops with invited guests
- Design charrettes
- Demonstrations and simulations
- Research and data collection
- Hackathons or Wikithons
- Capstone projects
- Debates
- Poetry readings
- Theatre presentations
Classroom activities are limited to 50 participants and can be scheduled from Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
4TH SPACE is also seeking items to showcase in conjunction with its regular programming. These could be any student-designed physical or digital objects, including videos, sculptures, textiles, board games, 3D models, paintings, posters and more.
Interested in showcasing your students’ work to the community? Complete an online proposal form, or send an email to 4TH SPACE for more information.
