Concordia’s local and fair-trade Holiday Market goes virtual
Looking to find a unique holiday gift while also supporting local and fair-trade businesses? Concordia’s Holiday Market has got you covered — at home.
Organized by the Concordia Farmers’ Market, the Concordia Food Coalition and the Fairtrade Farmers Market, this year’s event will take place virtually from December 1 to 3. While the event is free, registration is required to attend.
The perfect gift
Find gifts for family and friends from local and fair-trade vendors and help encourage our local economy by giving presents that reflect your values.
Provide a community-supported agriculture basket subscription and help Quebec farmers. Or check out clothing made with fair-trade cotton and know that your gift was created by textile workers who are paid and treated fairly.
Fun for the holidays
Be sure to set aside some time to also enjoy the live and recorded events. Learn a few holiday tips and tricks for waste-free gift-wrapping, make a snow globe with Concordia Zero Waste Concordia coordinator Matt Leddy (BA 18), follow along with a sustainability-focused cooking series or just learn more about what fair trade means.
